Personalized Domain Names

If you've started a company called HappyTime, people surfing the Net may have trouble remembering that they can find you at http://www.webfeats.com/happytime/. With a personalized domain name, they'll be able to find you at http://www.happytime.com/, and they'll be able to send you Email at TheBoss@happytime.com. Much less strain on the brain!

There is a one-time $200 fee to register a domain name ($70 of that fee is forwarded to InterNIC, the administrative organization that processes Internet domain name registrations) and a $20 monthly fee to maintain it. (Also, starting from the second anniversary of your domain name registration, there is an additional $35 yearly maintenance fee, which is forwarded to InterNIC.)

Before you apply for a domain name, check with InterNIC to make sure that someone else hasn't already registered it. (If you're thinking of registering The HappyTime Company, for example, it's a good idea to check both happytime and happytime.com, just to be safe.)

To apply for your personalized domain name, please print this form, fill it in carefully and neatly, and mail it with your check to the address at the bottom of this Web page. Applications cannot be accepted electronically or by fax.

NOTE: Personalized domain names are available only with commercial accounts. Personalized domain names are not available with personal accounts.

• Your domain name registration fee ($200) is payable in advance. (The $200 fee includes the InterNIC registration fee.)
• The domain name maintenance fee is $20 each month.
• Starting with your third year, there is an additional $35 yearly InterNIC maintenance fee.
• WebFeats will invoice you each month, or you can charge your monthly and yearly maintenance fees to a credit card.
